It was great to return in 2015, for another year of friendship and fun.
We were represented at the World Day of Prayer event, held at the Temple Society, in East Bentleigh. Our group was also invited back later in March, to view the embroidered panels of the history of the Temple Society and their journey from Germany to the Middle East in mid 1800’s, and then to Australia after the 2nd World War. Many thanks to Mark and Marianne Herrmann for an informative and interesting afternoon.
In April, after a short meeting, we adjourned to the Glen Eira City Hall, to view the display of handmade poppies, including our contributions. Jo Wade, one of the Glen Eira District Guide Leaders, attended the Dawn Service at Gallipoli, and took some of our handmade poppies to place on graves.
In May, we welcomed a speaker, who is a volunteer guide at the Shrine of remembrance. We heard about the history of the Shrine, and the displays in the recently renovated area.

Campbell Trefoil Guild based at Cranbourne in Casey District held their annual morning tea in March. Our theme was Campfire with a campfire singsong and everyone showing their camp blankets. A lovely BBQ lunch was enjoyed by all with lots of raffles and door prizes. Thank you to all the trefoil ladies who came from far and wide to join us in this special day. Funds raised went to Hand in Hand girl guides to enable them to enjoy guiding.
Campbell TG ladies made a wreath for ANZAC Day with knitted poppies, leaves and a banner saying “Lest We Forget”.
